HI, everyone, I hope May has started well for you.
Here are the plans for the week. I would like you to go back to basics.
For the two classes this week I would like you to pick out two sports that you like and work on a fundamental for each of those sports.
I have attached two workouts for baseball hitting and basketball shooting. These are both focused on the basic fundamentals of the skills.
You can work on any sport or skill you would like but I would like you to focus on the basics. This will make your base so much stronger.
If you need information on any sports fundamentals please feel free to contact me.
God Bless, Coach Fitz
Remember to always FINISH STRONG!
Class 1

Always know you can adjust times and how many you do of each exercise to keep you safe and healthy.
Have a great week. God Bless, Coach Fitz
Week 4/27-5/1
Hi everyone, I hope you all had a great weekend.
This week:
Class 1 - I would like you to build an obstacle course that would take you at least a minute to do or complete it.
Have fun with it and be creative. Then have someone take a video of you doing the course and send it to me at lfitzsimmons@tsdch.org. I am looking forward to seeing these! May sure you are stretched and it's a good workout. Keep it safe.
Class 2- I would like you to get out and exercise for 25 minutes So you can take a walk, go for a run or a bike ride.
After the exercise, do a ten minute stretch.
Have a great end of April and don't forget to email me if you have any questions or you are looking for some drills or exercises to work on. I'd be thrilled to help you during this time of distance learning
God Bless, Coach Fitz
Week 5. Watch this message from Coach Fitz as he explains the week's P.E. lessons
Here are the lesson plans for the week of April 20th-24th.
This week I would like the first class you do to work on the sport you love the most, your passion.
Try to do something you have not accomplished yet in that sport. Example: basketball- try to dribble behind your back with your eyes closed for 30 seconds
The second class I would like you to try something you do not do that much. Example: Throw a frizzbee with some one for a half an hour, throw a football, or work on putting in golf. What about badminton in the drive way or trying a new dance. Just try something different.
Email me! I'd love to know what you attempted.
Keep safe and well, Coach Fitz
CLASS ONE - INTERVAL SPEED TRAINING
Do a good four minute warm up using our dynamic stretches- such as butt kicks, high knees, open the door, close the door, karaoke, long strides and any other you would like to do.
Next go for a 10 minute jog, jog for 2 minutes and then run hard for 30 seconds and repeat this 4 times. This is a great way to improve your speed. Do this at whatever pace works best for you. If you need to walk at any point do that but try to push yourself.
Then get a really good 10 minute stretch in.
CLASS TWO - LADDER WORKOUT
If you have a ladder use that if you do not get some chalk and make one. Each box of the ladder is one foot 4 inches in width and length. The ladder we use at school has 19 boxes. You can do less if it does not fit on your driveway.
Due the following drills three times each:
1) jog with one foot hitting each box
2) go half speed with one foot hitting each box
3) go as fast as you can with one foot hitting each box.
4) Do a bunnyhop in each square
5) Do one foot hop ( left)
6 ) Do one foot hop ( right)
7) Do "IN OUT" which is in the first square you jump in with both feet, then the next square you jump so your legs are on the outside of the square and repeat to the end.
8) Do Karaoke threw the ladder
9) Now facing sideways go through the ladder with two feet in each box. you are jogging but moving sideways through the ladder
10) Icky shuffle- This is a lot of fun and explain in the video below.
The video below has an example of what we are doing and has some other skills you can do.
See you next week! Coach Fitz
